Here at the Medicine Wheel, we have short-term accommadations to meet all your traveling needs.  Nice beds, showers, private rooms, cable, wifi, etc.  Situated high in the Bacca Grande just outside town, it's just a short walk out the door to one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring mountain ranges in the world.

 

Climbers and hikers have access to some of the most thriiling and challenging trails in Colorado, including the spectacular Willow Lake trail, Great Sand Dunes National Park, and the 14er's trifecta of Crestone Peak, Crestone Needle, and Mt. Kit Carson. 

 

Hunters and fishers have access to the Rio Grande National Forest, some of the most wild country in Colorado - elk, deer, trout, and even predators like bears and cougars are abundant in the Sangre de Christos! A perfect challenge for the seasoned woodsman.

 

Those travelling here for spiritual reasons are just down the road from a number of retreats, temples, and ashrams, including the spectacular Karma Thegsum Tashi Gomang stupa at the end of the Camino Bacca road.  A point of spiritual gravity since pre-Columbian times, Crestone is a major attractor for people of all faiths - particularly those of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.  Those seeking healing and transformation are definitely in the right place, and The Medicine Wheel is perfectly located to facilitate this!
